There isn’t much this midwest raised girl appreciates more then a great steak, and this my friends is a great steak! When my local grocer had a sale on tip roast I decided to pick one up and then started trying to figure out what to do with it, when I found this recipe I knew it was a winner. This roast was jam packed full of flavor and was honestly better then any prime rib I have gotten from a restaurant. If you are looking for something easy and impressive look no further. Enjoy!

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast  (Print Me)

Ingredients:
1 1/4 Tablespoons paprika
1 Tablespoon kosher salt (or 1/2 Tbsp table salt)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 (3 pound) sirloin tip roast

Directions:
In a small bowl, mix the paprika, kosher salt, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, and thyme. Stir in the olive oil, and allow the mixture and the roast to sit at room temperature for about an hour.

Preheat your oven to 350º and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place the roast on the prepared baking sheet, and cover on all sides with the spice mixture. Roast 1 hour in the preheated oven, or to a minimum internal temperature of 140º for rare. Let rest 15 minutes before slicing.
